LAKELAND, MICHIGAN — June 17, 2015 — Kensington Woods Schools would like to recognize the top graduates from the Class of 2015.
Top 5 Graduates
Sarah Craig
Family: Parents – Bethann and James Craig. Siblings – Aaron, Isaac
Plans after high school: Sarah plans on attending Michigan Technological University to study Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
Extracurricular Activities: Pinckney Aquatic Club (5 year swim coat), Karate, Church mission trips,
Special Recognitions: Valedictorian, WXYZ-TV Brightest and the Best, Michigan Technological University Presidential Scholarship of Excellence and the Alumni Legacy Award ($19,000), Michigan Competitive Scholarship, Kensington Woods Excellence in Mathematics Award.

Abigail Gamache
Family: Parents – Susan and Daniel Gamache. Siblings – Kate
Plans after high school: Abby plans on attending Saginaw Valley State University to study Communications and Theater
Extracurricular Activities: National Honor Society, Kensington Woods Leadership, Varsity Basketball, Competitive Irish Dancing, Competitive Baton Twirling, Featured Twirler for Howell High School Marching Band
Special Recognitions: Salutatorian, Saginaw Valley State University Scholarship ($16,000), Eastern Michigan University Scholarship ($20,000) Michigan Competitive Scholarship, Received 15 college credit during high school through dual enrollment, Kensington Woods Excellence in English Award, Kensington Woods Bear Award.

Gunnar Damon
Family: Parent – Jennifer Damon and Jerry Damon (Grandfather) Siblings – Chloe
Plans after high school: Gunnar plans on attending University of Michigan (Flint) to study Neuroscience. After receiving his Bachelor’s degree, he plans on attending Medical School and becoming a doctor.
Extracurricular Activities: National Honor Society, Kensington Woods Leadership, Volunteer in Kensington Woods IT Department and throughout the community.
Special Recognitions: Congressional Medal of Merit, Graduated with Honors, Received 18 college credit during high school through dual enrollment, Michigan Competitive Scholarship, Kensington Woods Excellence in Social Studies Award, Kensington Woods Excellence in Technology Award

Gunnar Damon – Congressional Medal of Merit
On May 8, 2015, Congressman Mike Bishop, honored students from his district, including Kensington Woods Schools Senior, Gunnar Damon, with the Congressional Medal of Merit. The medal recognizes top students in the district for their exemplary citizenship, character and academic excellence throughout their high school careers.
Aurora Anderson – Sara Jane Venable Scholarship
Kensington Woods Senior Aurora Anderson was awarded the Sara Jane Venable Scholarship on April 19, 2015. The $1,000 scholarship is awarded to one student a year to help them in their pursuit of higher education in the visual arts. Seniors in 9 Michigan counties compete for this scholarship through submitting a portfolio of 10 of their artworks. Aurora will be attending Kendall College of Art and Design to study Art Education in the fall.
Patrick Tracy - Otis College of Art and Design Scholarship
Patrick Tracy, Senior at Kensington Woods, was awarded a $64,000 scholarship from Otis College of Art and Design in California. He plans on studying illustration and photography.
