The 2011-2012 GEM2 Team

Each year, students from Kensington Woods High School, Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy and FlexTech High School combine to compete in the premiere robotics organization on the planet, FIRST Robotics. Building the robot requires math, science, computer programming and communication & promotion skills. These skills are developed in students by working with professionals from a wide range of disciplines. Together the GEM2 will make a competition robot, but they take away much more!

In their rookie season (2011-2012), GEM2 was awarded two Rookie All Star team awards from regional FIRST Robotics competitions in Gull Lake and Northville. Read more here.

In their second season (2012-2013), GEM2 was awarded the Creativity Award sponsored by Xerox, the Unity Award sponsored by Rush Team and 2nd Place Safety Award sponsored by Underwriters Laboratories.

GEM2 is sponsored by ASI and Regal Recycle.
